Our favorite Ramadan reads for kids.

Since finding some Ramadan books at our local library 2 years ago, we have been borrowing as many Ramadan/Eid themed books for kids as we can get our hands every year. It has become a Ramadan tradition, as I read these out to Anya sitting on our couch trying to pass time on those long hot afternoons. I thought I’d share some of these books specially those that have become a favorite for us!

Under the Ramadan Moon, Rashad’s Ramadan and Eid al Fitr, Perfect Gift, Ramadan Moon, Night of the moon, Golden domes and silver lanterns are the ones that we borrowed this year.

Our personal favorites are the ‘Night of the Moon’ as well as ‘Ramadan Moon’ and Anya also really liked ‘Rashad’s Ramadan and Eid ul Fitr’. All have just beautiful illustrations and all three of these start with the beginning of Ramadan and are a beautiful round up of the whole month leading up to Eid. Haven’t got round to doing it yet, but I think any of these books would make a great read for our very own story-time for the kids at one of our Iftar or Eid parties.

What about you? What are your favorite Ramadan/Eid books for kids? Would love any other recommendations too!

Above photos with Anya are from a couple years ago in case you’re wondering she looks small 😉

Thanks for reading. Lots of love.
