A last day of school – summer break goodie bag for Anya

A few photo memories from last day of 3rd grade for Anya last year.

Our schools had closed down suddenly when the Covid outbreak happened in our area in March ’20. They were never able to go back in. I know that was the case for so many kids last year but it didn’t make the sadness less at what a weird year we ended up living through.. You can feel it in these photos, Anya was quite sad about saying bye to her favorite teacher like this..

A long summer ahead of barely any plans since we couldn’t go to Pakistan also loomed ahead and I randomly came up with this idea to make a goodie bag for the summer for her – mainly activities to do + snacks. Loved how she loved it and thought I’d share now as school is almost ending or ended already in some places. It’s never too late to make a summer goodies bag to keep the kids busy (and give you some moments of peace hopefully haha).

I do hate buying new things and toys for her because well she has too many things so I tried to think of experiences with these for that reason too!

Also printed out a scavenger hunt / a virtual scavenger hunt to do with friends. Can’t find the ones I printed but here’s a free printable one.

We are nearing another virtual last day of school since we opted to stay remote even when school opened up for kids for a few hours. Praying next school year has some normalcy to it.

Lots of love,
